I love Capturing the beauty of the incredible inhabitants and landscapes in the area where I make my home and where my travels take me. Being inspired every day by the western lifestyle and the scenery that is forever changing with the seasons. I feel there is no other place that has the diversity of subjects that I want to paint. Usually inspiration is created from the subject that is in the most natural setting or behavior that is begging to be held captive in a painting. I picked up my first paint brush to create a painting when I was in my early 20s. What started out as a hobby and a way to relax, morphed into a passion that was held captive forever in my soul. Even when life interfered with my ability to create, I was always looking and mixing the colors in my mind. What I would use to paint that caught my interest? Now that I'm retired I have time to take action to create of what catches my interest. The embers that sat dormant for a fews years has now flamed up to the passion that I had 50+ years ago. Everyone needs a passion in their lives, mine is to grab the paints and brushes, turning a blank canvas into something that catches the moment, atmosphere and emotion of subject that I'm painting. Now that I have a collection of some of my work, it's now time to share with everyone. My husband refers to our livingroom as our gallery. Concreting the need to share publicly the results of my passion to create.
